Reviews

Zona is absolutely amazing!! So capable and responsible!! We have three big dogs - two are puppies and very large - a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Also have a 12 yo Berner. Zona has been very attentive and meets all of their needs. We recently had her stay overnight for ten days - came home to happy dogs and a clean house. She managed everything beautifully and was in contact with photos daily. I cannot recommend a more capable and trustworthy person to care for your pets.

My wife and I had to be out of town for 11 hours, and the folks who usually watch our pup weren't available.

We reached out to Zona just after 7 pm on a Wednesday. We didn't expect a response till the following day...

But we received a response within a few minutes. Phenomenal communication!!! She came out to visit us and meet our pooch.

Zona was punctual, engaging, and she asked great questions about what it was we needed.

When we were out of town, Zona not only came by as we asked, but she also made sure to communicate with us about her visit. And to make it even better, she sent a few pics of our dog enjoying her company.

Highly recommend!

Zona is excellent with dogs of all sizes, types, and temperaments! If you're looking for a kind, patient person to care for your pet while you're away, she's your woman!

I occasionally do walks and co-training with my dogs and her dogs in the community. She demonstrates excellent handling capabilities and a good understanding of canine body language and social dynamics. There are a few people I would trust with my boys in my absence- she is among them.

My Training Journey

My dog training journey began three years ago when a stray husky named Appa showed up on our doorstep. He was a sweet, anxious bundle of nerves with a lot to say—but no way to say it. Figuring out how to help him wasn’t easy, and it pushed me to learn everything I could about canine behavior, communication, and emotional needs. What started as a mission to help Appa became a passion for helping other dogs feel safe, understood, and confident.

Since Appa, my family has grown to five amazing dogs, each one teaching me something new about training, behavior, and the importance of meeting every dog as an individual. I’ve read countless books, studied behavior, and immersed myself in every resource I could find—because every dog deserves patient, informed guidance.

Dog training has genuinely changed my life. Appa pulled me out of a dark place and gave me purpose, and my current dogs continue to inspire me every day. I especially enjoy working with nervous and fearful dogs, helping them build trust at their own pace. And while I love all dogs, puppies hold a special place in my heart—raising three of my own has shown me just how adaptable, curious, and fun they can be. I also have a strong interest in sports training and love the challenge and joy it brings.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: to help dogs and their humans build relationships rooted in trust, communication, and understanding.
